How to Find Gold Every Time.

Too often do I hear the story of prospectors old and new failing to find gold on known gold bearing creeks, even with all the know how and tools.
This lead me to believe that there is a fundamental misunderstanding between the knowledge of test panning a creek and the application.

You must take many test pans from both likely and unlikely spots.

You must take them from different levels in those spot, basically every time you find a soil change, colour, consistency, smell, test it.

You must find the best gold in that spot and let that dictate how much dirt you move and with what tools, not the other way around. Just because you brought a high banker does not mean you need to use it.

Take regular test pans whilst working the spot to see if the good pay has run out, changed directions or gone deeper.

And lastly, the more you test the better your knowledge of any given creek or river will be making it easier in the long term to get right onto pay dirt.
